iTunes constantly freezes when encoding Lossless
I'm trying to encode all my Cd's into Apple Lossless files and iTunes is constantly freezing. I'll get a couple Cd's done then it will freeze in the middle of a file. Force quiting doesn't work and I have to force reboot the G4. Sometimes 2 or 3 times on the same disc. I have about 500Cd's to encode so this is very frustrating. All software is current. it's a brand new 500GB SATA drive I'm encoding to which checks out OK.

1. you might try reinstalling itunes.
