| Help setting up an airport extreme |
|
Hubby just got a brand new mac book, which we are intending to use wireless (at home and obviously elsewhere), so we also got an airport extreme.
Our other computer is an eMac with a DSL connection, which we're leaving wired up because we are okay with its location (next to a phone jack)
I just tried to get the airport stuff up and running, but it won't. Could this be because I am still running 10.3.9 on the emac? Do I need to install the software on the emac even though it doesn't have an airport card? I seem to have everything configured correctly between the airport and the DSL modem (I think).
Can someone talk me through this?

We're connected on the emac and also the macbook. The light on the front of the airport extreme is flashing amber (I guess it should be a steday green) but everything seems to be working just fine. Huh.

| 3. to set up the airport... |
|
you need to plug into it directly, not wirelessly, set it up, turn on wireless and then you can access it wirelessly.
