| How much are tamales where you live ? |
|
There is a place in Round Rock for 6.50 or 7 a dozen. It is called the Tamale factory. It is on 79. Some churches sell them here in Taylor for 5 a dozen. I like them on Christmas Eve with Wolf Chili and cheese on top and ham.

I worked in a place that sold them $4 a doz. And these were fat boys too. Red chile or green corn.
Those were the days.

| 5. About $22/a dozen For The Really Good Ones |
|
I know friends whose families have parties on Christmas eve that are all about making Christmas tamales. They are lots of fun -- it's a Mexican tradition.
I'm not Mexican but I do have tamales every Christmas. There are cheaper ones but I always get the ones from corn maiden. One reason is that I can get vegetarian, vegan, pork, beef, and chicken because I have a large & varied crowd.
Still, $44 to feed a crowd is pretty cheap. The combinations they have are really interesing! Check out the varieties under "product list" at cornmaiden.com
