| 1. I've never tasted them |
|
but my mother loved them, as did my grandfather.
I guess I'd try them, but would prefer not. I've tried everything ever put in front of me. The raw barnicles ('opii') were not good at all. Mountain oysters just have to be better than opii.

| 2. Watched an episode of "Watch Me Eat Gross Food" |
|
or whatever it's called, and the episode had him going to the Spring gelding session at a ranch in Chile, I believe.
They ate them suckers within a few hours of them leaving the animals. Claimed they were fantastic.

I also don't eat any kind of organ meat. It just ain't happenin' even tho I have more than ample access around these parts.

| 5. I have eaten these things. |
|
I have had calf and lamb fries. They are OK but not on my Top 50 Favorite Foods List. Turkey fries are very good. Still not on my top 50.

| 8. I'm with you. Turkey fries are best. |
|
But, they are organ meat and very rich. In my opinion, if you harvest the animal you should make use of all the parts.

| 6. I've had Rocky Mountain oysters once, at a bar in CO with a couple of beers. |
|
They were cut up like french fries, sort of, and battered and deep fried. Served with catsup. Yummy.
I only had them the one time. I think if they aren't prepared right they might not be so yummy. They're just organ meat. I don't know why people get so silly about them (but of course I love liver and sweetbreads and heart).
