| So..it is midnight.. and I'm wondering how this is gonna turn out |
|
 Hello C&B!
A couple may stop by at 2am... work and stuff makes it so.
I'm into the beer already and they know the scientific lab method I use for cooking.
I have burger near goin south.. and more hotdog buns than I need (from a bratwurst night).
What if I mixed an egg and some spices... some onion... and rolled the meat into .. hmm.. umm.. meatloaf dogs then grill 'em with some corn on the cob?
Whaddya think?

| 1. I'd be more inclined to form the hamburger into meatballs |
|
with a lot of spices so nobody will know it's starting to turn, cooking it completely, and serving it on well toasted hot dog buns with tomato sauce and cheese like a poor man's meatball sub.
Meatloaf logs in a bun don't sound that appealing to me. They'd have too close a resemblance to something that comes out the other end.

| 2. I didn't really mean meatloaf |
|
hehe. Just the "binding" aspect of it.
The meat was good (sell by 7th). I wasn't so worried about wasting it as I was the buns.
1lb hamburger 1 egg garlic powder some bread crumbs carmalized onions S & P
lol, I couldn't wait. They are on the grill now ;)
I'll let ya know

When I was around the age of 6 or 7 and lived in Detroit there was a restaurant (take out place) who sold burgers rolled up like hot dogs and put in hot rolls, I tell ya, they were the best. I am sure they made them like a meat loaf and rolled them. I also had extra hot dog rolls not long ago and ground beef thawed. So I did what you did ......... tasty and I actually liked that better than the flat hamburgers.
Why didn't you send me one?

| 5. You might look up some recipes for ... |
|
... kifta (also spelled: kifte, kafta, kofta, etc.) It's basically a sausage-shaped spiced burger, sometimes cooked on a stick.
