(and they are gloriously colored) usually call for up to a whole bottle of red food coloring. To me, this recipe would be like dipping your brined chicken in poison, then rolling it in poison before frying it. I wonder what the chemical changes are when red dye is fried? If not for the poison, I'd try it as a novelty. Cream cheese in the mashed potatoes is creative. Killer recipe. Literally. :puke:
