I've just stumbled onto this program on the Cooking Channel the past two Saturday nights, and it's hands down the best cooking show on TV. The cook is listed as Nadia G. and she's a total hoot, a real pleasure to watch. Tonight is "recession recipes," and her stuff is really spot on, roasted root vegetables and all. Along with the comedy and the recipes, she's giving good nutritional and other theory.
Gotta love the green nail polish and green spike heels, too.
I would suggest everybody give this wonderful broad a chance.
Saturday night, 11PM EDT.

I missed it tonight, but I'll probably be able to catch it during the week. Bitchin' Kitchen. Wish I'd thought of that! Thanks, Warpy. :hi:

| 2. She's got a lot of stuff on You Tube |

Apparently, it's an older series, started on Food Network before they got such a bad case of chefitis.
"I'll never drink that again" is especially worthwhile.

I searched the "never drink again..." line but the video didn't come up so I watched her chicken soup segment. I agree with you re: chefitis on Food Network, it's not nearly as much fun as it used to be. This one, though, very entertaining! Thanks for the tip.

None of that 50 ingredient crapola that tortures good food beyond all recognition.
I'm a fan. Really.

I watched part of one episode earlier this month and had to turn it off. I found her shtick distracting and annoying. I just don't have enough punk in me, I guess. I would like to see one episode of that other show Two Rude Food Dudes, which is described as: A punk rock culinary show as a Never Never Land, where adolescence, beer, jalapenos and DIY rule. I don't think that's airing now, though.

and while it was a little off putting in the first couple of minutes, I started to realize where she's really at and appreciate her.
I think you have to be a hard core urbanite to get it.

|
That would explain it. I live on a farm and visit municipalities as seldom as possible. Cities, even less.

I couldn't even watch two minutes of her horrible schtick.

And will try to catch their show again.
But I'm most grateful to the FC for The Two Fat Ladies reruns.
