hello!
I thought that we could run the circle for a few days at a time now...sine we are seeing only a little change on the daily basis. Hope thats ok with everyone.

Please add your requests to this thread through Sunday.
We are still running 10 am and 3 pm EST circles.

5. Request: That this country survives the same way under Bush that it did

under Reagan.

26. I certainly see your point, but the request was made by another poster and

so it was listed. One of the earlier posts regarding the circle dealt with the fact that we will often see requests that are contrary to our own beliefs or practices. I think the best way to deal with those is to modify the request to something that works for you, or skip those requests entirely. Hope this is making sense :)

35. I wasn't criticizing the prayer

In fact, I think we SHOULD be praying for this. I've often reminded myself that our country got through those years, we'll get through this.

My comments were made more as a realization of "Oh boy, things have gotten really bad when we're praying for that."

Sorry if I was being vague.

On edit: In other words, "the bar" I was referring to is the one set so low by B*sh and company.

I didn't really see your post as being critical...I just thought you were concerned that the prayer was focusing on the negative rather than the positive. More a matter of semantics. :)

I think we need to go ahead and start praying for God's favor with respect to likely changes to the Supreme Court over the next four years. Pray that God would give favor and open doors to those who would be just and that he would cause the unjust to stumble and fall.

I posted a thread on this idea on Tuesday's Prayer Circle, but I probably should have just started a new one.

Politically, it's my feeling that the US is not going to remain a superpower during *'s term. We're going to lose that status very quickly. But that's not much of a prediction; I think most of the world can see that.

Still, something deeper than that is happening, and I don't yet have a grasp of what it is. I simply have a need to focus in that direction, hoping that it will reveal itself in time.

As bleak and horrible as I believe the future will be, I can't help but feel that a new good is arising. I don't know if I'll see it in my lifetime, but I want to be part of the movement that is bringing it about. I am experiencing an inexplicable joy, a lightness of heart and mind that seems to be in contact with something beyond the dire circumstances of this plane. I may be wrong; I'm no prophet. But if there is any hope of bringing about good from the current evil, I will gladly give myself to it.

I cast the I Ching on Monday, expressing my fears. It responded with Hexagram 59: Dispersing.

"There is a possibility of eliminating misunderstandings, illusions and obstacles. The blood flowing from a sacrifice disperses the obstacle between the human and the spirit world. You are involved in a great project. Don't think about anything else now. This is not a mistake. The center is changing. Be part of it."

The center is changing. I think this is important.

Sorry for being so vague. I don't have any answers yet; I'm still looking.

I feel something very similar. I just hadnt connected your post to Tuesdays post. I'm a little foggy today. :)

I'm trying to detach a bit from my own fears about what i'm seeing happening in the world, in order to try and get some sort of sense of a bigger picture (for lack of a batter way to phrase it) - so its a mix for me of horror and light.
