| Garrison walked 8 steps last night. |
|
He's 10 1/2 months old. He walks all over the place as long as I hold his hand. But usually will drop right down to crawl if he doesn't have something to hold on to. But last night I called him from across the room, and he walked right to me. He was a little wobbly, and he was going pretty fast toward the end, but he did walk across the room!
:)
Woo-Hoo!

I was so excited. Garrison and I bounced up and down squealing and laughing for about 15 minutes!

| 3. Now you are in for a REAL trip.. |
|
Once they are "mobile". all bets are OFF.. He will be messing in everything, and his world just doubled.. There are new things he could not see from the floor..
It IS the coolest thing though, when they can finally walk on their own :)

| 5. Soon after our son started walking... |
|
we found we just couldn't keep up with him when we went to the mall, etc. So rather than buy one of those expensive harness things at Babies R Us, we just got a dog leash! I know, shame on us, but you just hook the thing under their arms and you're not running every other direction after your kid.
Funny thing though, our daughter was never like that. Once she was upright, she liked to stay by us.

| 6. My first born was like that. |
|
The instant we let go his hand he was off like a rocket, and no looking back. My younger son is 2 and completely the opposite, and likes to stick with us.

| 7. What I love about that age |
|
is they're still very much a baby, but they're becoming a toddler, so you have a little of both. I can't believe he's already 10 1/2 months old!
