ZombyWoof started a poetry slam in The Lounge. I was pumping my breasts at the time so I wrote this poem. I wanted to share it here. Hope you don't mind.
Pump Pump Pump
Pump Pump Pump Draw that reddish bump Through the clear plastic funnel. It is drawn and retracts Drawn and retracts, looking like the tip of A tongue In an air popper. A squirting tongue, a fire-hose tongue In vacuum bondage, Yielding my sweet love's lunch.
;-)
Anyone want to spontaneously write a poem about some aspect of being a mom or dad?

the pumping experience to a T (no pun intended). I had pumping flashbacks!
I'd try a poem, but I really suck at them. (ETA: Again, no pun intended. Really!)

I was quite pleased with myself. ;-)
Vacuum bondage! :scared:
Thanks so much. Maybe you're not great at poetry, but you are great at puns and making me feel good.

| 4. Hubby was amazed at how far nipples will stretch. |
|
There is nothing quite like watching your nipples being stretched to about four feet in length while using one of those electric breast pumps...

| 5. Here is my weaning blues song |
|
For a while my kid would not wean...he went cold turkey at 46 months on his own accord, to my relief. I wrote this song when he was 2. He ate dairy food like yogurt and cheese, but milk could only come from me!
This is one stanza..but the rest is along the same lines....
WEANING BLUES
My baby doesn't like that four-legged milk He'd rather drink from me He likes to drink that two-legged milk That comes from his mommy Give him a glass of four-legged milk He'll barely drink a drop But give him a glass of two-legged milk He'll drink and never stop!

| 7. heh heh heh. That sounds like my second child! |
|
I weaned him (finally) at age four, but he still wants some, a year and a half later! He won't have anything to do with cow's milk, but he will eat cheese and ice cream, etc.
I take it someone sent you a really good professional grade pump, rbnyc?

I also used to make up poems and sing songs to the rhythm of my Medela!
I was in the ladies lounge the other day and heard that old familiar sound coming out of one of the powder rooms and knew in an instant what it was. :-)
