nice tutorials online though, if you Google for them.
BTW, since I made the one statement, I should say I use GnuPG, which uses the OpenPGP standard, and is meant to be compatible with PGP, with using any patented algorithms.

KDE has an excellent frontend got gpg called Kgpg that I use. Makes it very easy to generate keys, manage keys and with Kmail, encrypt email. Does so for other things as well.
