Why does Quicktime hate me so much? What did I do?

Why does Quicktime hate me so much? What did I do?
When I click on a Quicktime video link the first time, it plays just fine.

The second time, however, I get that broken link image, and it won't play.

Is it just me?

1. Clean out and reinstall your video driver.
I was getting a "green screen" thing with Quicktime and back-dated my video driver to something more stable.
In the process I discovered I still had several older version on my hard drive(forgot to uninstall when I updated).
