| IE8 is annoying. How do I save all tabs to open next time like in IE7? |
|
Also why can't I stay logged in to my forums? I save cookies for DU and other forums. This is just annoying.
I often want to keep my tabs saved in IE while working in Firefox. Now I can't do it.
Also how do I go back to IE7?

| 1. Annoying. Doesn't seem to be a way to save all the tabs and reopen. |
|
You have to add them to your favorites and then search for them if you remember the name you gave them.
In IE7 it simply asked do you want to save your tabs until next session.
Still can't stay logged in.

| 2. I don't use IE any more.. |
|
but used to 'support' it. It sounds like a bad installation. Was your anti-virus running when it installed? How did you install it, from a download file, or directly from Windows update?
I'll poke around and see if I find anything more. Maybe an IE user will show up with advice. I don't know how to do a reinstall on that version, so again, would have to poke around. Let me know your answer to those two questions.

| 3. Installation ok, just some annoying quirks |
|
I use Firefox most of the time. But I often would save tabs in IE7 when writing something up to post. I could close it and then all the tabs would reopen. Now I have to go through my favorites to find where I saved the doggone tabs to favorites.
I am most annoyed. I was using their search, and coming up with very little.
I don't think it is the install, I just think they changed some very good parts of it.
I found the history finally, but it is like everything is a layer or so down.
Thanks, though.

| 4. They wouldn't change the cookie |

retrieval though. If it isn't holding cookies, it is either a setting in Options or a problem with the installation. It very well could be that they changed the Option settings.

| 5. Still trying their search. |
|
I think I will do a search on Google for IE8, forums. That will usually get oodles of results.
