I've never really understood the folder tier in XP. I have "administrator", "user", "default user", etc. Nothing with my computer name. I don't use logon.
Here's my problem. I posted a picture from my photobucket account. I have now DELETED that photo from PB, but it continues to show in the thread. I've written PB, but I'm starting to think it's DU? A local file shouldn't have that effect. I've been messing around with PB, and there have been 3-4 times I've done *something* that gives the broken link image .. for awhile. But when I check the thread later, the original photo is still there!
I've already had a nervous breakdown over this. I've alerted, PM'd two mods to ask for intervention/delete.
Any ideas? I didn't think DU caches photos, but this certainly seems to be the case.

| 3. Posted it in a thread? |

We're not talking about your avatar pic, right? In that case, no, DU wouldn't have anything to do with it.
You're on the right track, it's probably getting pulled from your local cache. Revisit a DU page where it shows, then hold SHIFT and click Refresh. That'll force a hard re-fetch from PhotoBucket's server. If it shows, it's still coming from PB.

| 4. A Mod has come to the rescue! |

But it was a photobucket glitch. I uploaded another image and used the same file name. Then I selected 'edit'. It loaded the OLD image. I used IE and Firefox BOTH to 'replace original'. I checked the thread, and the new image finally appeared. However, it had shown broken link several times and then reverted! It's got to be a photobucket thing. Something messed up when I originally deleted it.
But Lithos showed up to help. Thanks MODS!
