| Ipod for wedding music? Or a laptop with good speakers? |
|
Okay we have a guitarist hired, who will play before and after the wedding and while we eat dinner. But one guitarist, awesome as he is, doesn't make for dance music. This is a small wedding that could be overhwhelmed by a band or DJ.
What is the best way to play music? There won't be a computer in the room though I guess we could take a laptop. The music things you rent seem too big and expensive. Are there Ipod stations with speakers good enough for dancing for maybe forty or fifty people in a 1000 square foot room? The only one anyone has is just for a desk. Or, can laptops support good speakers? What speakers? We have various types of laptops we could use.
I know there are probably some good options out there, but none of us has any with current equipment. Obviously we have to buy something. Any suggestions?

you could get a terrific set of 2 + 1 (subwoofer) speakers that should be plenty loud and clear enough.
I'd also suggest a simple player called 1 By 1. It doesn't require you to make playlists, just organise the music into folders and it plays through them.

If you have specific type speakers in mind, I'd love to know. Otherwise, I will go the direction of PC laptop plus speakers plus downloaded music plus 1 plus 1
Thanks. It gives me a decent starting place.
