my boss at work has a Sony CCD-TRV308 Handycam. He wants to put a video he has on tape onto a CD. The AV cable he has doesn't allow direct connection to his computer. Is it possible to buy a connector to allow him to play the video on the camcorder and burn it onto a CD? Thanks for the help.

| 1. Does he have a regular DVD Recorder attached to his TV? |
|
If so, then he can burn a DVD from there, and then it's easy to convert to any other format.
I'm assuming that the AV cable he has has the standard red, yellow, white connectors on one end, yes? The kind that can plug into a DVD Recorder?
He could also get a video input card for the computer that has those inputs on it

They are usb devices and convert analog video to digital. They have really come down in price so you can find one for about $25 or so. HTH
