I'm having problems with my laptop booting up. It seems that Vista is hanging up. I don't think it's a computer problem, it appears to be a Vista problem. This morning there was a screen that said something about creating a restore point and then the computer went to a screen showing it installing a windows update that it actually installed yesterday.
Do I need to get rid of Vista?

Well, you could spend a year or two tweaking the guts out of it to make it run half-way smooth. Got a copy of XP you can load?

I have that. BUT I don't know how to remove Vista and install XP.
Hey, it's not funny. :(
Okay, maybe a bit funny.
This all seemed to have started when Vista Service Pack 2 was installed. Or the computer tried to install it. Everything works fine once the laptop finally boots up.
