question about malwarebytes
do I still need spybot and ccleaner and whatever else? think I have adaware still but it never works right so I don't run it.


what other clean-up dealies to you guys recommend?

1. You can probably ditch spybot
It's not a great as it used to be. I'd suggest a decent always-on AV package, Malwarebytes for occasional manual scans (a second pair of eyes makes quite a difference), CCleaner for tidying up and a good defrag program - Defraggler (by the CCleaner guys) is pretty good, although I prefer Mydefrag.

If you're spending money, Try Eset for AV: For freebies, most people plump for AVG although MS Security Essentials is worth a look.

2. I still haven't updated my AVG (slow dial-up and was thinking of changing to something else)
have ccleaner and auslogics defrag

forgot the ccleaner was for maintenance rather than "invasions"

3. Looks like a reasonable set-up
I haven't used Auslogics, but it's good on paper: No need to switch if it's doing the job. :)
I'm sure others will have alternative recommendations for general AV software...
