| 1. Have you tried it? I've got 7 running in VirtualBox with Guest Additions, so I can |
|
jump into full screen mode and the machine acts like it's running 7 instead of OSX. I only allowed 8gb for the virtual HD, but a fully-updated version is using less than half of that

I have been playing with ubuntu and mint and so I had mint8 rc1 on here already and when I went to install it this morning all I had to do was about 100 updates and now I'm using the official version of mint 8. I plan later tonight to reload from scratch though, just because.
I''ve been having a great time with linux and am happy that friends here kept recommending linux until I had to try it myself.
Autocad is all I need and it works great in ubuntu or mint either and its pretty easy to set up, I've done it so much lately that I've about got it memorized.

| 3. An interesting new feature is that the 32-bit version will recognize and use more than 4GB of RAM. |
|
I'm not sure if there are limitations on how much RAM one application can access -- I assume that is capped at 4GB, but the some apps themselves may be limited to using 2GB since that was all m$ 32-bit systems allowed.
