1. It happens...
See if you can borrow another mouse to check it, but it could be the switch has just gone. If everything else seems OK, it's the most likely answer.

2. you can go to control panel and swap the buttons to test
but I suspect hardware.

3. The keyboard alternative is bottom row just to the left of ctrl and right of MS flag. n/t
