| Microsoft Office Suite for Windows 7? |
|
Our computer died and I am going to order a laptop.
It comes with MS home software which I don't use. I use Excel, Word. My question is what version is compatible with Windows 7? The packages I have looked at only list XP and Vista.
Also, the laptop I am leaning toward is Sony Vaio VGN-NW240F/T. It has some very good reviews on amazon. Only real complaint seems to be short battery life but I am getting a notebook more because of lack of space. We have a desktop that my sister in law gave us. It is around 3 yeras old and still pretty good but we both use it so I want an additional pc. But I won't be lugging it around with me so battery life is not that big a deal.
Any advice on either of these issues would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

| 1. XP and Office 2007 work fine on Windows 7 and Office 2010 will soon be out |

I am currently running MS Office 2010 beta. It is specifically made for Windows 7 but earlier versions run just fine. I don't think MS is accepting anymore beta testers but you might want to visit their site to find out for sure.
