Can anyone explain what happened here?

Last night, knowing I would be watching the game, I decided to scan w/Malwarebytes. Since I never before did it in safe mode, I proceeded to do it in that mode. Found nothing, Great.

Here is what happened after.

When I went to DU after the game to read comments, I had to sign in again but it would not hold my password. I went to a couple of other sites where I must enter my password and the same thing happened. The full screen flashed on then immediately threw me off.

I got a new password from DU, tried that and the same thing happened. Tried to research on line, could not find an answer to this. I don't remember what site but I did read that I should unplug the modem for about 30 seconds. OK, but same problem kept happening.

Gave up for last night.

This morning? All is fine.

If I did something I should not have, I need to know what it was so I won't do it again. Any suggestions?

1. .You may have been running in safe mode and not rebooted before trying DU.

Safe mode is not necessary to run Malwarebytes. Usually used when machine is known to be infected.

Without being there after the fact problem solving is next to impossible.
