For all those who tried valiantly to help me resolve that issue, guess what? I was reminded of a similar issue from a ways back and what we did to fix it. Turned off the computer, unplugged it, took out the battery, waited a few minutes, put the battery back in, plugged it in, turned it on ---- MOUSE WORKS!!!
I'm a very happy camper at the moment, and just had to share the glee with the folks in this group.

Mine regularly dies, and is revived when I change the batteries. I guess it uses batteries up rather, well, maybe every six months? Oh, I guess I know not all mouses have batteries. I didn't post in your other thread as you already about about 3000 responses. dc
