What happened to my printer? It's a new lexmark x204n all in one.

It worked super fine on all accounts til today. I tried to print 10 envelopes, 1 at a time, it jammed, quit, and won't come back.
I tried shutting off and unplugging everything, and all the items listed in the manual under troubleshooting.
It has (computer screen) a screen, Microsoft Printer Communication System has stopped, Microsoft will notify of a solution if they find one. ???
What do I do, wait forever? Basically, the computer has disconnected from the printer and wont go back on.
I have tried all the settings, etc. Nothing.
Any ideas?

1. Does the print queue still show a job in it?

If so, try removing that.

You could also try:
1. Removing the printer from your printer list and reinstalling it.
2. Removing the printer AND the print driver. To do that, go into your Printers list, click File->Server Properties and click on the Drivers tab. Select the driver for the Lexmark and remove it.
3. Check your event viewer to see if there is a more detailed message. You can find event viewer in Control Panel->Administrative Tools. You'll want to check all the event logs in there to see if a detailed error message has been reported.

3. The printer will make a copy. By clicking on the printer under

control panel, it shows printing activity and it shows the jobs lined up and 'error' by each one.
Same as when the printer is not connected.
Somehow it seems that the cable has disconnected. I pulled it at both ends and put it back in but still didn't fix it.

4. What happens if you right click the printer

and select Properties? Do you get an error, or can you see the printer's properties? If the former, then the cable may be disconnected. If the latter, then the computer is communicating with the printer but there's something wrong with the print spooler (maybe a bad job "stuck" in the print queue). Did you follow my directions from my post above? If so, what were your results of that?
