PCI DSS Issue

The credit card company has notified me that I need to get PCI DSS certification to continue to use our credit card terminal, which we use about once every 3 to 6 months, maybe 4 or 5 times per year.
It already costs too much monthly, and now the want to add trustwave for 85 a month.
Are there other cheaper alternatives?

1. You could go to a strictly online CC authorization service

Something like www.authorize.net. The fees are higher than if you're using a regular credit card terminal in your office, but since they have less expensive monthly rates you may save money over your current solution.

2. Thanks. They are offering a $60 discount so that would be only

$25 for the year. I may do that if I am able to get the discount. Then, when it comes with tutorial and education and all, it would be worth it.
This on our regular program, with the refer to site they use.
