My uninterrupted power supply has crapped out. Any recommendations for a new one?

Preferably something made in the USA if there is such a thing?
The Tripp-Lite I have right now didn't last that long. Maybe a couple of years? Is it worth replacing the batteries in these things? Or is it just better to get a new one?
Anyone familiar with this?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

1. I'm still using one I bought at Goodwill at least ten years ago..

I put in a battery from an electric kids' scooter that was the right voltage and happened to fit, the UPS is so old it has a metal case, it's an APC brand.
Ninety plus percent of the time the electronics aren't doing anything anyway, most UPS units only turn on the inverter portion when the AC power goes out.
The batteries are available through eBay, that's about the cheapest source I've found.

2. What model? Are you sure it's not under warranty?

And even if it's not, Tripplite may offer a replacement at a reduced cost. And that may or may not be the way to go.
Also, it may be that you just need new batteries.
