looking for a specific RSS/news reader

I used to have one, a long time ago, that would pop up in the lower right hand corner with new entries every 15 minutes. It was free, and that's all I can remember. The only free ones I can find now, you have to go in and refresh them to see new entries.

Any help would be appreciated.

1. It's my impression that lots of modern browsers offer this capability

IIRC Flock, for example, allowed me to subscribe easily to tons of RSS feeds
