| hibernating issue in Ubuntu |
|
Edited on Sat May-15-10 02:43 PM by lazarus
My daughter's laptop is loaded with the latest Ubuntu build. When she puts it in hibernate, it just freezes instead, forcing her to restart it. Any ideas?
On edit: This wasn't really a problem on Vista, so I don't think it's hardware-related.

| 1. websearch for the make and model. specific features on some machines may |

not yet be supported. i have an acer aspire netbook: until last year, ubuntu didn't handle the fan control correctly, and ubuntu may still not handle the led network light correctly; i forget whether hibernation is/was an issue for my machine under ubuntu, since i never use that feature, but it dimly rings a distant bell in my neuronic memory
