Building a website

Any tips on building a website?

This would be for my wife's small business.
She can program and I have used HTML and "drag and drop" software but that was years ago.

Tips on the best way to register a domain name.
Any simple WYSIWYG style software out there you'd recommend?

WinXP Pro system.

1. Kompozer is free
software for web site building. http://www.kompozer.net/

If you haven't built a site for years, may be beneficial to read up on CSS (cascading style sheets).

3. face book and then facebook pages for the business is a way to start out without large investment
just set up profile and then set up a business page that runs off that profile
After 25 fans to the business page, you can pick a name that is added after the facebook.com and some use a domain name redirect to their facebook page

If interested send me a message and I will send you my url to each so you can see what I currently have
I also have a host for some webpages - bluehost.com and they have been reliable again I can send you some links
