| Thinking about going Vonage/VOIP, but have a question...... |
|
Which is the most advantageous setup scenario? I want to get as much info as I can before I leap into this.
Modem ---> Router ---> VOIP Box -or-
Modem ---> VOIP Box ---> Router
Been searching around on the net, but can't seem to get a real straight answer. I don't mind tweaking router settings, but would like to keep it to a minimum as I do have a few devices connected wirelessly. Can anyone help?
Anyway, Modem: Motorola SB5101 & Router: Belkin F5D8233-4
Thanks in advance.

Don't think it will work any other way and still give you internet on computer(s)

| 2. that is the way we have our Lingo setup |

and I can't think of Modem-VoIP-Router working either...unless there is some kind of passive connection through the VoIP box which would just be pointless...
