| Weird Windows 7 behaviour |
|
I have several programs pinned to the taskbar. Just today, I noticed that two of them have changed icons to something else. For instance, my shortcut to Shogun: Total War icon is now a Firefox icon, but it still directs to Shogun.
Any ideas? And how do I switch the icon back, without unpinning and repinning?

| 1. Right click on the pinned icon |
|
Then right click again on the program in the context menu that appears. Check that Properties point to the correct .exe file.

| 2. Worth a try - rebuild the icon cache. |

This has been an issue with Windows versions going all the way back to 95 and maybe even 3.x if I remember correctly. http://www.winhelponline.com/blog/how-to-rebuild-the-icon-cache-in-windows-vista/
