I can't seem to burn a CD
Can anyone walk me through the process?

1. Lighter fluid and a match usually works......
What OS?

Windows Vista up you can just drag and drop to the CD/DVD drive and then in File chose Buurn CD.

or are you using a program?

2. Here's something to remember
If you're using a Write-Only CD (CD-R), remember to tick the box that says: "Close Session", before you burn.
