Firefox Tip: How to get rid of that irritating Auto-suggest Drop-Down on Google

1. Thanks. This appears to be working for me. I definitely needed

something, with this yahoo hijack.
And I found that Alta Vista found a lot fewer items than Google.

It's not a perfect fix. Apparently Google has decided that the auto-suggest drop down should be default and unchangeable. I despise it. It seriously interferes with the process of typing and then hitting the "Enter" button, which is how I search.

4. I found a number of old posts by people who were against it.

And didn't like it or want it.
But now Google has decided they are like the "We Know What's Best for you Corp."
