Keep from going postal, please - trying to get my HDMI connected laptop to TV
it's an HP laptop (WH202UA) running Vista.

I've searched the web, I've searched through help on the (#*&*&#$ laptop, and can't find shit.

I plugged the HDMI cable into the laptop and into the TV, and no signal at the TV end. So I switched cables, just to be sure, still no signal.

I'm plugging it into an input in the TV that I know works, unless somehow I managed to fuck it up when I pulled out the other cable and put in the one from the computer, but I think the chances of that are pretty damn slim.

I simply and abso-fucking-lutely cannot find ANYthing on the web or in help that has any option for "You want to send your signal to a HDTV through HDMI? Hell, that's easy - just connect your cable and press this button".

I can get the help for connecting to the goddamn projector, but that's not HDMI.

ARGH!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks in advance.

1. Well, son of a gun - tried the first cable again, and it works.
Should have followed ye olde two step solution that usually solves all electrical issues:

1) Try another cable
2) Go back to the first cable, and jiggle it

Pain in the ass.

2. I run my
laptop on my 46 inch flat screen TV and it's a real blast looking at websites that size. On my desk top I run 3 screens and I do need them in my business but having said that I have more fun with my EVO 4G phone and all the apps I can play with (open source). I think the future is Android and a tablet. They have much more than a computer can give you. The future is a flat tablet. (not a fucking ipad puke) a real open source tablet that you can do the things you want to do.
