Avast keeps coming up with a box to upgrade or renew my subscription. However, it won't just update. It keeps trying (several times a day) to get me to upgrade.
I don't want to. I can't afford to.
How can I stop this? Or is it one year free only, then you pay?

There should be an option displayed to remain with the free unregistered version. I just did this a couple of days ago so don't remember the exact wording, but it's there.
