| Odd problem: Laptop scroll right is interpreted as a back function |
|
This is annoying. Love my new laptop except for this. When I scroll back to the up or down page bar on the right my laptop thinks I am wanting to go back a page when I just want to scroll down. Any ideas?

| 1. I think what you describe is a program setting |
|
And/or mouse wheel setting.
For example in Photoshop an option lets you use mouse wheel to zoom. Irfanview has a setting for mousewheel to cycle through images in a folder.
What program are you using when you experience this? I think you need to look at the program's options to set mouse wheel function.

| 4. Looks like something like that might be under "mouse properties" in the control panel but... |
|
Can find anything sounding like a auto back when you scroll right setting.

| 6. Read up about the touchpad. My netbook's tiny touchpad exhibited what I thought was bizarre |
|
random behavior, until I realized that when my finger got close to the margin of the touchpad, the touchpad interpreted a finger roll as having a different meaning than it had in the center of the pad

| 2. Not a fix but an option |
|
Use your keyboard's "up" and "down" arrows to scroll websites. As well, the "home" key will take you to the top of a page and the "end" key takes you to the bottom.
