Anyone familiar with DTV HR21 HDVR? I just replaced one that failed completely. The replacement is

constantly making a clicking/scratching noise. The failed unit did the same thing a couple of weeks prior to its burnout. DTV insists that the noise is normal and of no concern. Searching the web, I find that the sound may indicate a failing hard drive.

Any help/advice is sincerely appreciated.

Is that a DirecTV, model HR21, high-definition dvr?

If so, I would suspect that a clicking/scratching noise is of some concern, and that you are being hosed by NEWSCORP.
