| The phenobarbitol residue in pet food is from the drug that was used by a kill shelter to slaughter |
|
a domestic animal that was too sick, disabled, old, or just in the shelter too long. Pet food companies then "render" their carcasses, and put the resulting "meat Meal" into your pets' food!! http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=243&topic_id=38312&mesg_id=38637

| 1. That is just too horrible! |

I knew that shelter animals often ended up in pet food (another mad cow epidemic waiting to happen)? It's all just too sick

In China these corporate asshats would be executed. I am starting to believe that is the only type of punishment that makes a difference to these guys. And I do not really believe in capital punishment..but for some of these arrogant corporate egotists...it may be the only solution.
Hope you and your wonderful furbabies are doing well.
Ear-scritches for Oberon and Puck. And an extra for Pip since he does not have a playmate...yet. Or does he?

| 4. Pip has a playmate who doesn't like playing with him much |
|
he's a little solid blue domestic short hair with Hemingway toes that I call Buckaroo Bonsai-because where ever you are, there he is!Little Buckaroo has a very Siamese personality; he makes noise all the time and growls and hisses over the slightest irritations. He LOVES people but isn't crazy about other cats, so I've been looking for a new home for him without success. He and Pip play from time to time but not enough to keep poor Pip happy!
How is your thundering herd doing these days? I hope that their mom has found a way to keep kibble in their bowls. It's getting to be a challenge here. :-(

Are we cannibalizing our pets? Must we resort to cooking for our pets to avoid this? I really wouldn't mind cooking for my cats but my cats would mind. They won't eat my cooking.
