brief instant between the action and the reaction...i.e., my beloved says something that triggers me. Between the words, the desire to retaliate with more words and the actual reaction, is that space to make new choices. I'm in that groove and to me it is a very big Woohoo!

though I did have a confrontation a few days ago with someone who wanted me to be stuck, which nearly turned violent.

with the TON of Cancer you have in your chart is that you "want to want to let go" vs "letting go"

I got that from a Ram Dass book somewhere. There's a big difference.

Lunar people (those strong with Cancer) actually believe they're gonna die if they let go. It feels real, but it isn't true.

... its always been easier/"safer" for me to hang onto the self-preserving behaviors that I learned as a child (become 'invisible', detach, have a very small circle of trusted friends, don't make waves) than it was to realize that there is no safety in that kind of safety and that only by letting myself be terrified and step out of the shadows, could I become free.

Still working on it, to this very moment. Sometimes I still want to hide, or self-sabotage, or stack the bricks back up so everyone goes away, but I am trying mightily to call it out when I see it. A work in progress.
