| What to make of this dream? |
|
I was at my grandmother's house (rather, the house my grandmother lived in til I was about 25 years old - she is gone now, as is the topography I'm about to describe)
Behind the house was a sloping lawn, bordered by a low stone fence. Beyond the fence were woods. The area where the woods are had once been part of a Gilded-age era country club, the clubhouse had in fact been directly behind my grandparents' house. The clubhouse burned in the 1930's and the woods had taken over, but still visible was the clubhouse's foundation depression, and the circular drive that led to it.
So, in my dream, it was evening, and I was sitting outside with some family members (I don't remember exactly who) and I heard some music coming from the woods. I looked and saw at least one dark figure creeping around back there, and then the music stopped and the figure ran away.
I became very excited at the prospect that I could identify the instruments I had heard being played, and by process of elimination track down who the mystery man had been. Almost a "Scooby-Doo" moment.
I have no idea what to make of it, but it's stayed so long with me after waking I figure it must mean something!

Grandmother's house = place where you feel safe & protected Gilded-Age Country Club = your need/desire for material things--now gone Country Club Woods = your new spiritual "place" Dark Figure = Your fears Music = connection to source Identifying individual instruments = specifics you are receiving from source for your "new" life Identifying Mystery Man = recognizing & facing your fears
