Lounge but I feel safer here so this is where I'm starting. Does anyone know of a car insurance company that will insure high-risk drivers? If anyone knows of such a company, please, please help me. Thank you.

| 2. I am not a high-risk, but husband is. |

I went to a local place that advertised that they insured high-risk; and they put me on GMAC insurance..which has proved to be the BEST insurance company I've ever worked with. We had a wreck last year and they were WONDERFUL. Check them out, and see if there are any local reps.

| 6. I was a long term State Farm customer until... |
|
I found out that they gave something like $1 million to one of Bush's inaugural balls. I was absolutely sickened at the thought of my money being used for that, so I changed to the bluest auto insurance company I could find, which was Progressive. (I also had State Farm for my homeowner's insurance, and I now have Amica Insurance for that.)

| 3. Google is your friend. |

There are many sites that will allow you to get quotes from differing providers who will offer varying amounts of coverage, and prices based on your driving record.

| 9. Depending on what state you live in. |
|
My suggestion is to find an insurance agency that is not affiliated with any one company. They sell a lot of different products, and know which ones will be best for you, premium-wise. For example, my sister owns an insurance agency in Texas - they sell a lot of auto and home insurance to people with special needs. There should be a company like that in your area, one that is able to be flexible. That's your best bet, because it is so hard to know all the products like an agent would. Hope this helps and you get some information.
