Mister and I finally got it together enough to stick it to Bank of America and go to the credit union!

I want to do that too. (Or go to a small local bank that seems to really care about its customers.)
My only concern is ATM machines. My concern is having access to my money when I travel.

until we realized we pretty much use a debit card for every single transaction, no matter what part of the country we're in.

Did that last year. Finally told them to go take a flying leap, and moved all my money to the credit union. Haven't regretted it not one minute.
Congratulations!!!!

We have an obscene credit card balance with B of A, and it galls me to write that hefty check every month. :grr: Our regular banking is with HSBC, and with them threatening to pull out of the US altogether, I'm really hoping to switch everything to a credit union--credit card balance and banking combined. Fingers crossed.
