Update on friend whose legs and arm were amputated

She is in a Long Term Acute Care facility now. She can't talk because she's still on a ventilator (at this point probably always will be) so no one knows how much she understands. One nurse says there's no response, another says she'll blink her eyes in response to a question.

Her dreams have always been amazing, not personal emotional dreams but spiritual lesson dreams. My sense is that her 2+2 mind might not be working like it used to, but has freed her soul to learn on a deep spiritual level.

We are going to write her letters, which the nurses will read to her. If any of you would like to drop her a brief note you can e-mail me and I'll print and mail it. My address is [e-mail]. Her interests are liberal politics, animal life, New Age music, astrology and spirituality.
