From anyone who is of heart and mind. Our doctor's son has been in a car accident. Has lost one leg, may lose the other foot, can't use his hands and so far, this seventeen year old, has had 25 transfusions. His father, our doctor, is a wonderful and kind man who is devastated. It's been a terrible year for him, having lost both his parents, for starters. My heart really feels for him and would appreciate it if any kind soul on this forum would send prayers or thoughts of light their way.

But it may not be for awhile. When he's not busy at his practice (overwhelmed with patients), he's at the hospital. But we'll call before Christmas and ask his receptionist, Thanks again.

Doing the same thing for my little sister. She just had surgery a month ago on her leg because of a car accident back in 2002. We won't know if she'll walk again until next year. These things take time and are life changing events for everyone concerned. My heart also goes out to your doctor too. I'm sure he's had days when he's afraid to answer the phone.

19. Update

Spoke to our doctor today and he said no progress but the boy is stable, it will be a long haul.

Also spoke to a very psychic friend who volunteered the following info: he is in a great deal of pain and in the midst of deciding whether he wants to stay or go. If he stays he has a long road ahead of him. He will regain the use of his hands after several operations. This is a matter of time and his decision.

Especially for the year in question. What are they thinking? I had read they were amping up audits but that was for people earning over a hundred thousand and that sure as heck wasn't me.
