Anyone interested in Crop Circles? Unusual number showing up
I don't know how many people here are interested in crop circles, but they are quite fascinating. There's been a very high number of them showing up and they have increased tremendously each month. In July there's been a new one reported almost everyday. It seems quite clear that someone is trying to relay a message to us, and urgently at that. Here's a link to the crop circle website and you can click on "comments" for various circles to read what the "experts" opinions are as to the meanings.

Just FYI...

April 2011 (3 circles reported)
May 2011 (8 circles reported)
June 2011 (14 circles reported)
July 2011 (24 circles reported and still counting, with one showing up today)

2. Thanks for posting, findrskeep. I go to that site from time-to-time and
read as much as I can absorb. The designs are incredibly beautiful, interesting to me and I wish I could understand more.

3. y'know, you'd think the farmers would pass on the bill to those three 'hoaxers'
Edited on Mon Aug-01-11 02:54 AM by NuttyFluffers
y'know, the three hoaxers who said they did the original crop circles? you'd think the farmers would have a case against them to repeatedly pay for damages. i mean, at least a cease and desist order followed by a restraining order at the very least. and since those lonesome three supposedly started it all, you'd think they'd pony up for repeated damages started from the copycats. y'know, that's the least i'd do as a farmer seeking redress, if it was all a hoax, and all...

i mean, if tourism was all that profitable -- hoax or not -- you'd think they'd plow under the crops, let it go fallow, throw up a souvenir stand and rake in the dough. i mean, the tourism *must* make more money than deliberately letting their crops be damaged, right? i mean, why would farmers (and the insurance co. who likely works with them) so blithely take all this suffering lying down? why bother buying seed and plowing it when you can expect such vandalism, that's just overhead for your souvenir stand.

or, perhaps something else is at work, no?

;)

good find findrskeep! :7

6. That last one, all serpenty looking...the farmer plowed it under the next day!!!
Evidently he got angry at all the people coming to look at it....huh? He pretty much ruined/wasted his whole unripened crop of wheat (I think).

What is going on there I wonder.....so sad. Think it was one of the largest ever! Incredible..thank goodness for photos!!

7. check out the blurriness and angling between 2nd img furrow lines on flattened spots.
there's a definite difference in sharpness and fidelity to the furrow lines. could be the photograph stats (angle, film, etc.)? a facet worth studying the backlog for.
