Someone gave me a star.

I am mortified to admit I have only just now realized that. I normally avoid my in-box, which usually just has requests for donations that I cannot afford in it.

Whoever gave me that star, I don't think I can convey quite how much that means to me. It is a kindness that is overwhelming to me at the moment.

3. I've been here off and on for a very long time.

But I've been without a star since the last time someone gave me one, in 2008. So you haven't heard from me.

I feel kind of tongue tied at the moment. Don't know what to say, except thanks again to whoever it was. It was a most kind, generous and thoughtful thing for them to do. I'm going to try to use it in an appropriate way, which at this time will be a real exercise in participation for me.

There are people in the group who are willing to help but would rather keep it anonymous. If you let me know, I'll make sure that your need is made known so you are able to post. Nobody should ever not be able to post here because they don't have a star. Seriously. We all need each other now more than ever.
