I have an important informal meeting on Thursday afternoon, and I want to know if there is anything I need to be aware of - is it a bad time for decisions or proposals, am I being hasty, should I focus my energy on something else...

I'm meeting with a former teacher (a person of influence) to discuss an idea I have, and ultimately I intend to ask him to partially support or sponsor the project.

This idea is one that I've been carrying for years and years, and all my instincts tell me that now is the time for me to nurture and develop it. I'm nervous, though, and I'm uncertain about how to proceed. This meeting is my first step into manifesting this idea into a reality.

Well, I went to the coffee shop, waited a half hour, and left. Instead of going back to work, I decided to swing by his office on the chance he might be there. He was arriving just as I did, and it turns out I went to the wrong coffee shop.... :blush:

No harm! We went up to his office, and I explained my magazine idea to him. He liked it very much. He is going to make a couple of phone calls on my behalf (protecting my idea, meanwhile), and we'll talk more later after he's had more time to digest the idea and consider his advice to me.

It didn't happen the way I imagined or visualized it happening, but it happened, and I'm happy to be on a path!
