I'm on the west coast, so time zones are a consideration though. Maybe we can gave it a trial and see how it goes. How many do you think we would need to participate?

I'm in Colorado so my time zone is mountain. We could set a time say like 8pm and at 8pm in your time zone you send Reiki to the others. Would that work you think??

I was thinking more of a group where everyone would send Reiki at the same time...but this is fine as well.

5. 'Chi Quong' is the practice, not Reiki.

Course, you could potentially channel any energy and project it out for thousands of miles...but its called something else, not Reiki.

My Chi Quong healer says he seems to have even more effect the further away someone lives from him. International Chi Quong Healer, does everything over the phone.

...been doing reiki and have friends who are masters that have been sending reiki energy for years...thought chi gong was a bit of a different practice.

(of course we all know the energy is coming from the same source, so I guess its a matter of semantics)

7. Not withstanding your healer's statement,

as a Usui Reiki Master I can say that Reiki is a distinct discipline of its own. Think maybe of sociology and psychology? (Since my knowledge of Qi Quong is limited that's as far as I can go...)

Reiki involves the pure Universal energy, not one's own Chi or personal energy. Also requires no special exercises or movements, as in Tai Chi. I only offer this in the interest of clarity...

Interestingly, often when "sending" Reiki I do also find it is sometimes more effective, more powerful in remote sessions than in my "hands-on" sessions. Also, Reiki is not limited by time or space.

That said, as stated above, since everything IS energy.......channel away!
