| Upcoming surgery, fear and depression |
|
I will be having surgery (not sure exactly when because my doctor has to get the authorization from my insurance company - don't you just LOVE that? x( ).
I know it needs to be done, but I am feeling really depressed and a little fearful.

and heal quickly.
When I go under anesthesia -- generally for a colonoscopy -- I always speak to the Goddess and tell her I put myself in Her loving hands.
Blessings to you.

I'm visualizing you surrounded by a protective tube of white light while you're undergoing surgery. I'm also visualizing you safe and happy afterwards.
(On edit: If you continue to feel this way, you might want to get some Rescue Remedy. It's been really helping me handle stress.)

Hang in there.
Hey, would your surgeon allow you to have a headset in the OR? If so, you can listen to a CD or MP3 player full of magical tuneage. Even though you'll be sedated, the energy will get through to your brain and help a lot. I had a coven sister who had surgery for a uterine cyst, and she prepped herself by doing meditations for days beforehand, and then she loaded up a CD with her favorite mediative/good energy music. She came through her surgery with flying colors and healed quite rapidly, too. Might be something to look into, no? :hi:

I really like my doctor and would not be surprised at all if I was allowed to have my mp3 player.

I was in the same situation in late March, awaiting shoulder surgery. I was a bit anxious. But it went swimmingly, and I have regained movement in my arm.
I had been at a point where the pain was making my life miserable, sometimes if you can imagine yourself on the other side, it helps.

| 13. Surgery is a scary prospect. |

A year ago in May I was feeling the same way you do. Then, four days before the date a friend called because her Bichon Frise was having her first litter of puppies. I went and midwifed both her puppies--both were born breech--and one needed puppy CPR until she could start breathing, but she did start breathing and everything turned out fine. Look for opportunities to help someone else between now and then. I was helped immediately by a lifted mood, and was able to stop worrying so much about myself. I was comforted by having a good deed to take into surgery with me. I'm going to visualize a joyous opportunity for you, and see you well on the other side of surgery. P.S. My surgeon said she had never seen anyone heal as quickly as I did! Take CoQ10 and think positive!
