| I went out to visit my weeds,,,I mean my garden...today. There is not a tomato |
|
plant taller than 2 feet...everything looks to be about a month behind thanks to the rain here and lack of sun. My potato plants look like they are thriving and the oregano is on the march to take over the garden but in all, it's not looking too good here in southern New Hampshire.

| 1. North of Boston here. My plants look like I'll be lucky if I see a |

tomato by the time it is time to pull them up. The growing season has been so bad that even the weeds are at a minimum.
What am I going to do without my tomato, basil salads with a crusty baguette? It was my summer mainstay. Not going to happen this year. The whole neighborhood is commenting on the fact that we have hardly any blossoms, let alone anything that resembles a tomato.
I'm glad I did not buy a lot of flats this year. My yard is torn up for stone wall repair. My plants are in pots. So little sun, too much early rain.
Phooey!

and the tomato plants have flowers - not one tomato yet. The bush beans look really healthy with lots of flowers, but it is way below normal temps here. Today it is just 66 F. for a high :-( and no sun.

Your garden sounds like mine last year when I was involved with my daughter's wedding and didn't take time to water it (or weed it either). Yields were pathetic.
You have to put a sprinkler on it and give it a deep watering at least once a week. Do it either in the morning or late afternoon and let it go for an hour.
Here in Wisconsin it's much the same--it threatens to rain but then we get only a sprinkle or non at all. Minnesota is having a full-out drought. So it's watering, watering, watering.
